Brief History of Ruang: Jurnal Arsitektur

1. Ruang: Jurnal Arsitektur first obtained its print International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) on July 12, 2009.

2. At that time, the journal began publishing scholarly articles authored by lecturers from the Department of Architecture. The publication was initially produced in printed form only.

3. During its early years, Ruang: Jurnal Arsitektur adopted a two-column layout format, which remained in use until Volume 17, Number 2, published in 2023.

4. In October 2023, the newly appointed editorial management submitted an application for an electronic ISSN to the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). Subsequently, on December 30, 2023, the official decree granting the electronic ISSN for Ruang: Jurnal Arsitektur was issued.

5. Beginning with Volume 18, Number 1, in 2024, the journal transitioned to a single-column manuscript format and shifted to a fully online publication system. Furthermore, previous printed issues were also digitized and made accessible online.

6. Under the current editorial management, Ruang: Jurnal Arsitektur aims to achieve accreditation by Sinta (Science and Technology Index). The editorial team remains committed to continuously improving the journal’s publication quality and management processes.
